SKIN BOOSTERS

Restore hydration & balance from the inside out.

Skin boosters work to improve your skin’s natural hydration and appearance of fine lines and skin texture.

This is a unique injectable treatment that works by mirroring our skin’s naturally occurring hyaluronic acid to promote deep hydration, smoothness and glow.

How do skin boosters work?

As we get older, our skin loses collagen and elastin which slows down our ability to repair and reduces skin elasticity. Over time, the texture and tone of our skin suffers and those wrinkles and folds start to appear.

Skin boosters work by targeting this natural ageing process. We inject a substance that attracts and absorbs water to support the skin. The desired effect is improved firmness, smoothness and suppleness. Like your moisturiser is an external hydrator, a skin booster is an internal hydrator. It’s like getting your glow on from the inside out.

Why choose a skin booster?

Skin boosters are different to dermal fillers, which work by adding volume and changing the contour of the face. A skin booster treatment aims to give you a fresh, youthful looking completion and dewy skin tone. The most popular areas for skin boosters are:

  • Face

  • Hands

  • Décolletage

  • Neck

  • Lips

Skin boosters can also be used to improve the depth of facial pits created by acne scarring and revitalise the skin in these areas.

What can you expect from a skin booster treatment?

  • More hydration

  • Firmer appearance of skin tone

  • Improved appearance of any scaring and skin texture

  • Reduced appearance of fine lines and wrinkles

  • Increased in skin ‘glow’ and light reflection quality

  • Pores appear smaller

  • Overall improvement in skin quality

What does skin booster treatment involve? +

Dr Chiara Parker and Dr Neil Parker meet every new client for a full assessment before any treatment starts. We take time to get to know you before we can design a treatment plan to achieve the most natural look that addresses your areas of concern. Your appointment may include:

  • Full skin and facial assessment to discuss areas of concerns
  • Clinical photography to monitor progress and changes to skin
  • Opportunity to ask questions and discuss your expectations for treatment

What to expect at your skin booster procedure +

Your skin booster treatment will be conducted by our qualified doctors who have extensive medical training and are highly experienced in cosmetic injecting procedures.

  • A small amount of local anaesthetic or topical cream will be used to numb the area
  • We will treat the target area using either fine needles or a cannula
  • Our doctors are gentle, however, skin booster injections do involve some discomfort
  • Treatment generally takes about 30 minutes or longer if multiple areas are treated
  • Follow your aftercare instructions closely

When will I see results? +

You will see results immediately after your treatment and your skin will continue to improve as your skin turns over and regenerates new collagen. It may take to 3 to 4 weeks for the skin booster to settle into the skin. We recommend a follow up consultation after one month to check the results and work out the next steps of your treatment. Maintenance treatment is recommended after 9-12 months.

How long do results last? +

The benefits of skin boosters generally last between 9-12 months depending on your treatment area and individual circumstances. Other factors such as your metabolism and the condition of your skin come into play.
